Cannot activate 12 month membership

You can purchase 5 years of Live Gold membership on 5 12 month cards and activate each one as each year expires. Or you can activate 3 12 month cards and have a total of 36 months of maximum subscription and then activate the 2 12 month cards.

I activated a 12 month prepaid card a month ago, and today I activated a 1 month code I got for playing halo 5 beta. I activated it just now and it just shows me having a 1 month membership. what happened to my 12 month? did the one month stack and is not
showing my 12 ? help please

It's the day you activate the gold membership then the 12 months will start

"All conversions to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are final: Once converted, you cannot re-convert your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership back to a previous membership."

This statement covers ONLY the conversion of currently stacked memberships; that is, memberships that are active or prepaid subscriptions that are currently redeemed. With the conversion, all those memberships become Game Pass Ultimate, and will
run until the end of that subscription period. So, let's say you have 12 months of Gold that expire on 1 July 2019. If you do the conversion, your renewal date moves to 1 August 2019, as you get the first month of GP Ultimate for $1, then your existing 12
months will become GP Ultimate.
