Cannot access xbox live on friends xbox one when iPhone and smartglass on wifi

I having a weird problem with Xbox One Smartglass. I have everything in my house hard wired except for my ipad which is wifi only and I connect my wife and my iphone occasionally for the ios updates. Now I can connect to my ipad with no problems at all because
it's constantly coneected to the wifi but when I try to connect my iphone to smartglass, it only connect using wifi and not 4g. Is anybody else having this problem?

Sorry you are having trouble connecting your iPhone 5 @robrulesall2. Since your tablet is able to connect, that is a good sign (and I assume you installed the Xbox One SmartGlass app verses the 360 SmartGlass app on your iPhone as well).

One thing to try is to disable the cellular data on your iPhone to ensure the device is only communicating over your home wifi network. Also double check that it is connecting to the exact same wifi access point as your laptop. We have seen some people's
devices are connecting to the "guest" network on their wifi router and the guest network has wifi isolation enabled by default which prevents devices connecting on that SSID from talking to each other.

@Dun28, in your case it sounds like you can connect your SmartGlass app to your Xbox One but not all functionality is working. In your case, please unplug the power cord from the Xbox One for like 20 seconds then power it back up. Kill your SmartGlass
app and re-launch it. Full functionality should be back. We are working on a fix for this occasional issue, but until we get it released, a hard power reboot (or using "energy savings" power setting instead of "instant on") is needed to get everything functional
again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have the same exact issue with Xbox One. Smartglass for iPhone worked fine on my 360, but stopped working when I moved over to the One.

I can't find any XBOX ONE Smartglass app,for my android phone.

But I know there is for the iPhone......

The main thing is to ensure that your ipad and iPhone are connecting to the same network as your Xbox One console is connected to (on same wifi router, no cellular network, etc.). One other thing just to start from a clean slate, unplug your Xbox One console
for like 10 seconds then plug it back in and turn it on. Then kill the SmartGlass app on your ipad and iPhone and start them fresh to see if you can discovery/connect to your console.
