Cannot access old gamertag!

Hello everyone,

I just recently bought an Xbox One off of my friend after getting rid of an old one last summer. On the old Xbox One, I had a gamertag, along with some gamer score and a list of friends I played with. However, after buying the new Xbox One, I logged in using
the same information as the old account and when I logged in, I had 0 gamer score, my friends list was empty, and I had a default gamertag ( the one you're seeing now). I've tried almost everything I can think off to try and recover my old gamertag. If anyone
could please help me out, I'd appreciate it!

Issue with a new Xbox

I downloaded the old gamertag, re-downloaded Alan Wake, then did the license transfer, but my new profile still cannot access the Alan Wake game. Did I miss a step?

I cannot get into my old gamertag.

Ok here's the thing. I have an old gamertag that i forgot the email to. I made this account when I was in 8th grade. The only reason i want access to the account is because i downloaded a game on that gamertag a long time ago and i want to play it again.
(fusion frenzy). I have the gamertag and if i could remember the email I'm sure i could reset the password granting me access to the email account. Problem is, i cannot remember the email address. Another problem is i cannot log into my gamertag from my old
360 because it requires me knowing the registered email in order to sign in. SO, i cannot get access to the name of my email. Could not find anything similar on these forums. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you signed in and it showed a default gamertag and no score that means the email you used to sign in was not the email on the old account.

With that being said if you are not sure of the email on the old account but know the gamertag you can contact xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us and give them your old gamertag and if they can verify ownership of the account they can give
you the email thats associated with that gamertag

It's very nice of you to pass your old console on to your father. However, as was stated above you cannot transfer the licenses. Digital licenses are linked specifically to your gamertag and cannot be moved.

However, so long as that console is functioning and those games were originally purchased on it your father will be able to access them without your gamertag being on the console or signed in.

But, if the console should die and he needs to purchase a new console he will no longer have access to the content.

I have the same issue, I believe my old profile is tied to an email address that doesn't exist anymore and cannot access my profile here:

Don't search for the same wlid, have them bring up the individual gamertag. In the rare cases when a windsows live id is broken, searching for it will only bring up this new id.

You can be getting emails about the account even if the log in is something else because you can set the contact email separately.

If they are on the email address, phone support will send up and escalation to get it manually fixed.
