    Cannot access my Minecraft Windows edition but have played since Beta.


    This question is a two parter really.

    My first question is, I have been playing the game since 2010 (beta) on the same Mojang account. I recently migrated to Microsoft, but somehow lost the ability to play Minecraft Windows edition. (Java is still playable). is it too late to get Minecraft Windows on this specific account?

    My second question is, I never actually bought Minecraft on my Xbox one. only played it through Game Pass. Despite only playing it on Game pass, i can still play the game as if i own it.(To clarify, I don't actually have a Game Pass sub at the moment) The game is listed in my library as owned, but i have never actually purchased it and i was wondering if this is somehow related to my previous question.

    Regarding the first question, I recommend contacting Mojang.

    Regarding the second question, another account may have purchased the game or is still with an active subscription and this account may be the home one on your console giving access to the game.

    If you want to solve this you can reset the console, you will probably lose access to the game.

    Reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

    Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.

    In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

    To reset the console>

    Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

    ***Do not reset your console without having your account email and password.***

    Minecraft Launcher not recognizing my owned games

    I just accessed it with the old launcher and it was able to recognize that I own Minecraft Java Edition. However, I cannot access Minecraft for Windows with that launcher and thus I cannot play Windows Edition.

    Hey there, SnappyBark0! Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta is only available free for users that had the original Minecraft: PC (or Mac) Edition. If you only have the Minecraft: 360 Edition, you will not be able to get the Windows 10 Beta version for free.

    Looked through some of the help articles - man the information is confusing.

    Anyways from what I'm inferring from the posts is that you can play Windows 10 to Windows 10, and Pocket Edition to Windows 10 and that's it right now.
