Cannot Access MS 365 and Xbox - don't recall PW and Cell # has changed

Hi,

Issue: As a user, I am unable to access Microsoft 365 (and have a related issue with signing into XBOX) because I no longer have the cell# attached to that account and can't recall the password.

What I have:

The email address I used

What I don't have:

The cell phone number on file is not current

I cannot recall the password that would have been used

Two Notes:

1. My priority is to access Microsoft 365 first and then to access Xbox

2. In the past I have subscribed to MS 365 and I do have games attached to that account in XBOX

What I've done to try to fix this:

I've attempted to do a recovery through a secondary email but the automated system turns me away and only directs me to fill out another form -- and then I'm caught in a never ending loop of failure.

I've tried to call Microsoft but am not able to get an agent

Acceptance Criteria:

I am able to login into my MS 365 account and login into my Xbox account

If you already tried the recovery form to no avail, you will need to contact the support to be able to get assistance: Contact us | Xbox Support

If you encounter any issues requesting a call back or live chat on the Contact us | Xbox Support website, I recommend visiting Microsoft support.

Once you get to the virtual agent just say “Talk to an agent” and select Xbox as the product, and your issue from the list.

Select the option “Call me back” or “Live chat”, which shows the estimated wait time/queue.

yes, i did but i forget what it was. the issue was i needed to allow the xbox in my profile and assign it a unique pw vs the account login pw.

i had used the xbox in the past with just the account pw i don't recall having to add the xbox and assign another unique pw for that unit in my profile.

i rarely use the xbox so i guess i missed the sec update about this

As I recall, MS has worked with the military in the past to enable Live access for the troops in foreign locations.

yeah, what i was recalling was all of the talk about the Cell processor and how superior it was and how devs will never be able to use it's full power or some crap like that.

but with how much money MS has dumped on the X1 there is no way they are going to let this console fail.

As long as you have access to the account email, you can change the pw back.
