Cannot access after profile name change

On saturday i changed my user profile name, but now i cannot access my previously downloaded games because it says is not the proper profile.

can someone help me because i don't want to pay to change back to a profile i don't want to.

I don't want to use Gamertag during games!

well 2 things

first emily would be a commonly used name and probably taken already

for online purposes you must have a unique name

for the first 30days after sign up you can change your name to anything that is available try to be unique in the spelling like numbers etc

if you don't want to be online and really want to use the name emily you will have to create a seperate profile for offline only

please keep in mind some kinect games require online access

gamesaves and achievements cannot be transfered between accounts

Anyone know how to change the name it had given me?!

I sorted this problem thanks to my good friend Bonessi who posted in the q and a thread:

On the right hand side should be your Microsoft profile, click on that, then go to Edit Profile, should be able to set your first and second name there (my first name was the first half of my email address) I changed it there and it reflected on the xbox within about 5 mins.Click to expand...

When you change a user's profile name or email address, they get a new profile. After receiving a new profile, users lose access to their old profile and any his information.

Minecraft usernames are apparently not directly linked to the Xbox gamertag, so changing it doesn't affect the in-game name associated with it. So if I create a new account, I won't be able to use that name because it is already taken by the profile I cannot access. So the only option for my is to somehow prove that I own that profile.

Unfortunately no. Users are given 1 free name change, after that name changes are done at a cost.
