Cannot access account, SMS code doesn't arrive

So I have two step authentication enabled, and I want to at least look at my account's region. Account.live.com asks for the last 4 digits of my phone number which I provide correctly, and it then says that it sent an SMS message to that number, which never
arrives. I tried like 10 times, and I've hit this problem before in the past.

I have no problems with receiving SMS from all other places, a positive balance with my GSM operator.

Can anyone help me fix this somehow?

Hello iliadekain,

Sorry for the confusion about the SMS. If you have not done anything in the account as in change password, update info, or anything where it would need to send a security code I wouldn't bother with it. Although on off chance that someone may be trying to
access the account due to you keep getting these. I would go to the
Account website and log in to make sure all your security and contact information is up to date as a precaution. Other than that I wouldn't worry about them too much or just ignore them.

Depuis plus d'une semaine je reçois des sms me demandant d'utiliser un code de sécurité du compte microsoft (je n'ai qu'un compte microsoft pour ma xbox)

Ces sms viennent de n° portables tel que [mod removed-personal information]

Est-ce une tentative de phising?

I chatted with support and looks like they cannot change the two step auth, I've started a process to change two step auth from the phone number to backup email, and this will take a whole month.

Oh well.

Yes i tried, but there it says that, for security, you send a code via SMS to my phone but it never arrives. I redeemed a gift card so that's my payment method.

This does not work because I no longer have the phone number that was recorded before and therefore cannot receive the code by SMS

That's odd. Do you go back to the link I sent you and the number is still registered there? I removed it and to add the number again asked me for the verification code and I received it normally. I received it with and without the ninth digit.
