    I have an AOC 24g2 monitor which is supposed to run up to 144hz. I also have a xbox series s which is supposed to run up to 120hz. The issue is that no matter what I do, I cannot get the monitor to run more than 75hz. I have tried using an ultra high speed hdmi 2.1 cable and a display port adapter and neither have worked. When I go to the xbox to select the 120hz option through the video fidelity and overscan method, the monitor goes black and says: input not supported. I have tried changing the hz on my computer manually through the display settings which I can only change up to 75hz, and the g-menu which does not even give me the opportunity to pick a refresh rate higher than 60hz. Thank you for the help

    Not sure if you got rid of it or not but make sure you set your resolution to 1080p and go to video fidelity to set display on hdmi. That should enable it. Just got my aoc24g2 as well.

    your monitor support 144hz, but when set to 120 hz it is not exact, it will be 119.998 which the xbox will not work with.

    pc's will work with that ok but xbox console needs exact vesa match.

    I was checking online your monitor HDMI port, it has a 1.4 HDMI port

    This is why you're not able to use 120hz with your Xbox depending on which resolution are you trying to set.

    If even lowering the resolution the options doesn't appear, this means is not compatible

    Xbox requires an HDMI 2.1 port to use properly 120Hz, if HDMI port is below that mark, sadly is not possible

    There is no workarounds if the option finally doesn't appear, is a hardware limitation

    Xbox Series X doesn't support 1440p@120Hz with 1440p@144Hz monitor

    because the xbox needs the monitor to have 120hz in the edid, exact 120hz, as your monitor is 144hz then it may not list 120hz as being available.

    pc on the other hand can be manually configured to output whatever hz up to the max of the screen.
