Cannot Accept New "Terms of Use" when Trying to Connect to xbox Live

I turned on my xbox for the first time in over a year today. When I tried to connect to xbox Live, it said that the Terms of Use have changed and that I had to accept them; however, my account is a parental account because I was still a child when I first
made the account and it prompted me to enter in the password for the parental email. I did not remember the email password so I contacted my mom and she reset the password. I can now log into the email using that password just fine but it still won't log me
onto xbox Live. When I try it says that "The password you entered isn't valid"! This is very frustrating since we just changed the password and know that it is the right one for the email.

I am stumped and have no idea what to do now. Is the password for xbox different than the password for the email address? What can I do to resolve this problem? All I wanted to do was enjoy xbox once again...

Can't log in to Xbox Live account on Xbox console

Hello. My brother can't connect to Xbox live on his account. He can sign in, but he can't accept the new update. When an update came for the terms of use, he accidentally declined it, without reading it. Now he cannot install the update, or sign in to xbox
live at all. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

All you can do is attempt to recover the email account. Since it's a Hotmail account, go
here and click on the Recover Account option to begin the process.

You need to go to account.live.com and select I cannot access my account and then select I forgot my password and then enter the E-mail used to create the Parent Microsoft account click next and it will ask you to verify your parent account with a support
code via E-mail or PH# or security question once you have verified the account it will prompt you to enter a new password once you have done this you should be able to sign into with the parent account and accept the terms and conditions.
