    Cancelling XBL Gold Auto renewal


    I put my card on my account for a one month and now it says I can't remove my card because it's set to auto renewal. When I go to my account to cancel that, nothing shows up and it just shows my credit card information.

    Why Can't I Turn off Auto-Renwal

    Cancelling XBL Gold Auto renewal

    Sorry to hear it. When a gold membership is linked to your account that was purchased with a credit card that card cannot be removed until the membership expires.

    What you'll need to do if you can't cancel the membership online here is to call phone support. They can cancel the auto renewal for you. When it runs out you'll be able to remove the card.

    Hassassinade, it's the same email and Gamertag on both. Just on Xbox.com it's not telling me that I have XBL Gold so I can cancel auto renewal.

    Hi minoschan,

    Here's my take on your situation.

    Since you have mentioned that you were using an the 1-month XBL Gold subscription which auto-renews. Only the AUTO-RENEW was cancelled since your account detected a Pre-paid code was used and as we all know these pre-paid subscriptions don't auto-renew.

    Just to make sure though, you may want to ask our friends from our hotline or chat support to make sure. :)

    you can turn auto renew off and then just use the remaining time on ultimate

    since cancelling it will cancel the gold
