    Cancelling account


    Can anyone help me please. My son created an XBOX live account months ago, he no longer has an xbox but i am still paying @6.99 per month and i am unable to cancel i. I have tried logging on as advised but i need his log on details to cancel it and i do not know where they are. I am also unable to go to live chat without any of this information

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have gone to the bank and they can't cancel either

    Hello,

    I'm assuming by "cancel", you mean delete, if so, you will need to contact phone support. Though when you request an account deletion, I'm not sure if this is possible to
    do with leaving the Microsoft Account intact.

    Hi there,

    As far as I know the only way that comes close to cancelling an account is by closing the Microsoft Account that is connected to that xbox live account. I don't think that would free up the gamertag though.

    it is possible for the phone techs to change your pass and what not, and also give you, your secret question anwser, as i had also the same problem, roughly about 2-4 hours ago... i called tech and they reseted it for me... on this gamertag and all....they
    are not ment to do it tho, (bold and yelling) BUT, they aren't ment to do it tho... even if you can prove who you are and what not....

    you just need to prove you are you and the owner of the account with more information then that is needed for just basic tech support,

    hope you take this into consideration... :/
