hello! my children ordered a game without my permission. how can I cancel it, get my money back and erase the game?

Cancelling pre-order games?

Hey TheAshCohen09! Generally if phone or chat support aren't able to cancel a pre-order it is because they don't see one on your account. Could you take a screenshot of the order from

commerce.microsoft.com and private message it to me so I could take a look? You can upload the screenshot to any file sharing site like

To cancel you pre-order contact with
Xbox support for further assitance, through the store you cannot cancel a pre-order, you can cancel the purchase before the game release.

Hi, you can check here to see if you can do a self refund Sign in to your Microsoft account if you can't, then contact Xbox support and ask them to refund for

I would recommend contacting MS Billing Support right away, I am sure they should be able to assist you. Typically all digital sales are final but given the circumstances they may be able to assist.

Hi there!

If you'd like to refund an item recently purchased, you can do so by visiting this page and signing into your Microsoft account: https://account.microsoft.com/

If you have owned a game for less than 2 weeks, and have played it for less than 2 hours, then everything should process fine. Anything over the specified details and you will not be eligible.

If you run into an issue, while processing a self-refund, you will need to contact our support team over the phone. You can arrange a callback, here, within operating hours, by filling in the simple form, and choosing a query in the 'Account' section: Contact Us | Xbox Support

Our team over the phone have access to your account, whereas we Ambassadors do not, for security reasons. Someone will be able to have a look and arrange a refund if applicable. It is down to the team's discretion whether this happens or not.

The only way it would be cancelled, is if you cancel the pre-order. Just because a game gets delayed, does not mean your order would be cancelled.
