Cancelled product when pre ordered and pay for

I pre ordered black ops 4 a while back even pre downloaded it and now im getting a msg from xbox saying it has been cancelled due to some payment issue weeks maybe even a month after purchace can someone please help

My father had this pre ordered for his Ps3 when we first saw it. I think he has since cancelled that order lol

As M3tal Daz3 mentions, you should contact Xbox support for assistance with this.

When you pre-order a game using a Debit/Credit card, the funds are not taken at the time. They are charged around 10 days before the games launch. If there is an issue with the payment method, it may be cancelled before then.

 

To go along with what the other posters have said.

You may want to check your order history at account.microsoft.com and see if it went through or not.

Like they said if a preorder is done with a credit/debit card it actually is not charged till approximately 10 days prior to the game being released if the first time they can not get the payment for the game they will try another 3 times before cancelling
the order.

Your purchase history will show if the payment went through or if it was cancelled.

If it was cancelled but you still see a charge on your bank statement you will want to match up the charge with your order history to make sure what was charged was for the game.

 

With the release date being with 12th of October, they probably tried to process the payment on the 2nd of October.

If the funds were not available, or the payment method you selected when you pre-ordered was no longer valid, the purchase would fail.

It isn’t the end of the world. You can still buy the game. Just pre-order it again, with updated payment information.
