    Why does it uninstall a game when all you wanted to do was cancel the update!?

    (Pressed Cancel Update, and it’s all now nowhere to be seen!)

    How do you get back the digital game?

    Cancelling updates SHOULD NOT DELETE THE ENTIRE GAME

    Canceling an update shouldn't do that.

    Probably a flaw.

    Updates cause me to install full game?

    Try to complete the update before shutting down your console or canceling the update.

    I can confirm what OP says is correct. Canceling and update does uninstall the game. From what I have read it is because most updates change basic code of the game and canceling this could corrupt the game. So Pausing would be better.

    You can make purchases from your console, just not online, you can also redeem prepaid codes if you'd prefer to purchase one of those.

    on your xbox dashboard,go to settings then go to storage then choose bf4. you will see all downloads there. uninstall any updates you have then you will only need to install the latest one,All good from then on.
