CANCELING UPDATE OF A GAME DELETES THE ENTIRE GAME [mod removed]

This is not a bug or a glitch or any of the above. Its intentional as the other replies and a google search will show it's to prevent corruption. It's for your benefit not to make you rage, that YOU cancelled the download instead of pausing it. Please also
remember to be more respectful there is no need for you to post the way you did.

Sorry but that is by design and not a bug. It's to prevent corrupt installs if you cancel the update duduring the process, as it changes the game files and a half applied update cant work safely.

A well known fact. There are checksums in place to prevent corruption of data, hence the verification of downloads before Applying (Installation) of any update.

An interruption to this process, voluntarily or involuntarily, affects the integrity of the system.

A network connection issue will have the same affect on a download as pressing the cancel button, depending on where the payload has progressed in its commands.

A stable network connection, wired ethernet connection, from gateway to console, is preferred to a WiFi connection in most scenarios.

Not always achieveable, but the best setup for updates.

While it was frustrating to have experienced this firsthand, it is understood that this is to help prevent files from corrupting. Best way around this would be to cancel auto-updates so you can pick/choose what you want to keep updated. I do this on my
home console as it’s hard drive is significantly smaller than my living room console and I have a data cap with my ISP.
