    Canceling a past-due subscription


    So I've been trying to cancel a subscription because my Xbox game has ultimate renowned and since I can't really buy more game pass ultimate I try to use my Xbox live gold card which is prepaid and when I entered it into Microsoft's store on the Xbox it
    validated that the code worked but it said that something happened and they could not accept the code it said something about my subscription so when I went to check on my subscriptions it said my Xbox game passed was due and I did not know prior to that moment
    so I tried to cancel the subscription but it did not give me the option I don't know what happened I can send photos and videos if needed

    due subscription     is not able to be cancelled until the past due is paid off. You could pay the subscription, then cancel it right after.

    due subscription     needs to be paid off to cancel the subscription. Once you pay the past due amount you can then cancel it out.

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have issue with an overdue subscription. Unfortunately, you will need to pay the past due to cancel the subscription. There is no way of cancelling it when it is past due. Once you pay the past due
    you can
    cancel the subscription     immediately.
