Cancel renewal pmt

My renewal for XBox Live was due 25 April. My debit card had expired in Feb 2020. I bought a renewal code from CDKeys on 22 Apr and went on my acct and posted it (3 days before auto renewal). Today (28 April) I see that Microsoft took a pmt of £49.99 yesterday
from my debit card. How is this possible since my card expired a couple months ago. I would like my £49.99 refunded.

If your card was auto renewed by your bank from what I know most of your direct debits are transferred over to your new card to prevent any inconvenience's such as car insurance voiding and so on. I would also check with your bank about any other transfers
from your account too. Just like HouseOfLeaves91 said, follow that link to sort out your Xbox live. I hope this helps and good luck!

If it's a paypal you're trying to add, and it adds, it usually takes 24 hrs for paypal to accept it as a payment method. Otherwise, it could be a problem authorizing the pmt method..

Umm, there's a difference between disabling auto-renewal and CANCELLING the membership. You my friend, have cancelled your Membership, not the automatic renewal.

I had the same problem. Once you hit cancel on the Microsoft page under "renew", it will only cancel the auto-renewal. You will will get a message stating that your subscription will expire on the last date of your membership but it won't cancel your membership
entirely, only the auto renewal.
