    Okay first off, let me just say that I bought the $1 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Immediately after receiving the game pass, I turned off the recurring billing on microsoft.com. I can absolutely guarantee that I turned it off. Unbeknownst to me, Xbox has been
    charging my card anyways monthly without telling me. Only now, when my card declined, did I get an email telling me to fix it. The subscription is now past-due. Only I can't cancel it.

    I am told that past-due subscriptions are not active. This page also tells me that it will constantly attempt to charge my account until it gets payment. The page then goes on to say that past-due subscriptions will "eventually expire without penalty".

    If I am locked from the benefits of the game pass, why am I also locked from canceling it. Its not like i'm pirating Xbox game pass. I'm not getting any benefits from the past-due subscription. So tell me, why can't I just immediately cancel the subscription?
    Why is Microsoft constantly charging my card, even though I'm not getting anything out of the subscription? I am also confused on the section where it says that the past-due subscription will eventually expire. When will it expire? Why should I have to wait
    for the subscription to expire without penalty? Why can't I just cancel now without penalty?

    I can tell you that I am not paying anymore money for the subscription. Whether it gets canceled now, or "eventually expires *without* penalty"

    due subscription     is not able to be cancelled until the past due is paid off. You could pay the subscription, then cancel it right after.

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have issue with an overdue subscription. Unfortunately, you will need to pay the past due to cancel the subscription. There is no way of cancelling it when it is past due. Once you pay the past due
    you can
    cancel the subscription     immediately.
