Cancel lapsed subscription

I currently have a lapsed subscription as the card that was normally billed from has expired. I bought a key to renew the subscription but I cannot cancel the existing subscription.

Try contacting Xbox support, explain the situation, maybe they can cancel your previous subscription and give you the opportunity to redeem the new code.

If you have overdue charges you need to pay them before you can use a new xbox live gold code.

If you have overdue charges you need to pay them before you can use a new xbox live gold code.

It was set to auto-renew but couldnt due to the expired card. How are are there any overdue charges as it couldnt renew the subscription.
