Cancel your automatic renewal as you dont recieve any money back for cancelling the subscription completely. Xbox live subscription is so you can play games and online features in games I know for a fact you can use youtube without membership because when
I got my xbox without owning membership I was able to watch it

Hello, the game pass has nothing to do with Xbox Live, it gives you access to the game that's all. on the other hand the ultimate game pass has the Xbox live included, you will lose all the benefits of live.

There's no point in cancelling your subscription if it's not to take a different one. On the other hand, you can stop automatic renewal.

As mentioned above, cancelling the subscription will cancel the use of the games and content.

Perhaps another member can confirm, but i think in the games pass you can buy to own the games through the games pass. Should you wish to keep the game.

You say that you cancelled your subscription to Ultimate a few days ago, did you subscribe to Game Pass Core (sorta used to be Gold) after cancelling Ultimate? When you cancel Ultimate, it cancels all of it. Game Pass, EA Play, Online Multiplayer,...all of it. Once cancelled, you have no subscription at all and need to resubscribe to whichever level you want.
