Cancel Automatic Payments Without Gamertag, Email Address And Password

Hi everyone, I am in a huge dilemma, I have been checking my bank statements lately and I have an automatic payment being transacted each month for an old account which I cannot remember the Gamertag, Email Address And Password for at all.

I was wondering if I just tell my bank I have lost my Debit Card and request a new one would the automatic payment stop going out of my account for which I cannot remember the Gamertag, Email Address And Password for to sign in and cancel the Auto Payments
that way? What I mean is Xbox Live tied directly to my Bank Account or just my Debit Card?

I was thinking if I ring them they won't be able to cancel the Auto Payment because I do not know the Gamertag, Email Address And Password, or can Xbox Customer Support actually just remove my Debit Card from their system without this?

Ran into an issue with backwards compatible games. (Please Help.)

It gives you an option to download new profile (Gamertag). It will have you enter your email address and password, and everything should be there. I changed my Gamertag last week and everything worked perfectly fine.

 

Cancelling Membership

I read the following help information but do not see the "Cancel automatic payment" anywhere. Why not?

To cancel your membership at the end of the current term, turn off auto renewal by following these steps. With automatic renewal turned off, your membership will expire at the end of its term.

Sign in to the Xbox Live website by using your Microsoft account.

Note Make sure that you sign in using the Microsoft account associated with the Xbox Live account that you want to manage. If you don’t know the Microsoft account email or password, see Find your Microsoft account.

Once you’ve signed in, click My Account.

Click Subscriptions.

If you’re not on a trusted device, you’ll be prompted to choose an existing proof, either your email or a phone number, so we can send you a security code. The code is sent to either your email address or mobile phone.

After you receive the security code, click Next.

Enter the code that you received, and then click Submit.

Locate the subscription for which you want to change your auto renewing payment status.

Click Cancel automatic payment.

Click Continue.

Your best bet is contacting Xbox Support

 

Yes, MS support, you have the credit card info so they should at least be able to stop the auto renewal, and if worse comes to worse just tell your credit card to refuse the payment, if it is a old account it won't really make much difference to you.

The bank does not need your gamertag, just the payment detail which is on your account anyway, fact that you want to stop a payment at your end should be enough to do it.
