cancel account without account info?

My kids signed up for an XBox live account probably 15 years ago, and I just realized that i still get a recurring charge on my credit card for their xbox live account. We have not had an xbox in the family for over 10 years. We do not know what email or account was used to create the xbox live account, so we cannot log in to cancel it. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge this month after I realized I have this recurrent charge, but is there a way to cancel it directly with Microsoft?

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

To manage a subscription I apologize but we need to have access to the account, in this case, the best option will be having the charge cancel through your bank.

Unfortunately since you have changed too much security info you will have to wait the 30 day waiting period in order to do certain things with your account. There's no way around this except cancelling that request, and if you can't access your account
without changing this info, you will have to wait the 30 day period.

Matrix, calling into support to have your account cancelled will not help. Support cannot cancel an Xbox live account. they can take as much info off the account. I.E. Credit cards, memberships, account information, but the account will still be there. There
is no way to close down an account as a whole.

Canceling the Gold does not lock you out of the account. Forgetting your password and security info can lock you out, but canceling Gold just turns it back into a Free Account.

for info for canceling your account call (number in your region )

no region except for certain states in the US can cancel online
