Canadian Xbox One S in China

Never mind, after digitally downloading the game, all I had to do was find the game on the Canadian store. I am currently residing in China but am Canadian; therefore, had to change my Xbox's store to Canada versus Hong Kong (Beta did not show up in Hong Kong
xbox store).

It is entirely possible that this is not availabe in china and that the Canadian IP fooled windows enough to let you buy it, but not enough to let you download it.

I got it working but I had to use my old xbox one instead of my new series s, and my series s was for some reason giving me american prices despite the fact im using the same account which is registered in canada and shows canadian prices on my xbox one

Actually "because I live in China and Xbox live is unsupported there" is the reason you're running into the issue.



When you're buying the games, you are buying them with a Canadian account so you're seeing games/prices that are available in Canada. And, if you tried to download them while in Canada, they would download.



Since you're in China, the system knows it because you're connected with a Chinese IP. For whatever reason, those games are not available for download in China so you cannot download them there.



You will need to be in a supported region in order to download them. Whenever you have a region mismatch between your account and location you can run into issues like this.
