Canadian xbox one in England

Hey everybody, I am currently living in Canada on a working visa, and will be going back to England in the next few months. Now obviously the xbox one is alot cheaper in Canada than it is in England, so I was thinking about picking one up here and then using
it back in England. I know the games and console are region free this year, what would the other restrictions or set backs be from having a Canadian bought console in England Any information would be greatly appreciated

Kinect in England

Kinectimals, Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster and Kinect Sports, I would suggest you send the money for the console and games to someone in England and purchase the console and games over there or you will run into Region issue's if they try to purchase
new games in England and it is a Canadian console.

all us Canadians got the shaft but lucky for me and at least 6 people i know we bought it on ps4 then so there loss . it would be nice to let the gamers know when a game actually releases because even major nelson is telling every one its out but that lie
as you can tell by all the responses on twitter from Canadians and people in England that have tried to buy it today .

 

You would need to buy a U.K. power brick.Other than that you should be fine.

 

what about services, such as netflix, the tv guide services and other such things as this

 

You will get what is provided on xbox live in the U.K.

Just make sure your account location,actual location & billing location are all the same when you get back to the U.K. otherwise you may have some issues accessing certain content.

 

Also, if purchased in Canada, you would only be able to to play region A or region free Blu-rays.

The UK region is B for Blu-rays, however lots of sites do sell region free Blu-rays in the UK.

FYI - i got it from US and currently running the same in US

As far as game play and using xbox live goes, no issues as such.

But some features like xbox music, some apps like net flix and all are not supported in india and hence its not available here.

 

Where did you grab a new PSU from? One that would support english 220v??

So basically i had this issue of US PSU...so these guys gave me option to return my current one and they l send it to any US or UK address..So i did not want to do that since, i will get into more complications regarding international shipment and all

What i did for the time being was bought a transformer and playing it(stepdown) and in addition i have bought a new PSU(25 pounds) from Microsoft UK support and got it delivered to my friends place..He would bring it next week when he comes

Basically you can get it from myservice.xbox.com

Sorry but you should never use any kind of transformer or voltage converter with your console as it can cause no end of problems & if something was to go wrong it wouldn't be covered by the warrenty.

It does tell you this on a leaflet that comes with your Xbox One or in the manual with a 360.

 

Yes Daft..I very well understand this very much sure about the consequences.

however at that time there was no solution to my problem. So i had to go for this.. however i am getting my new adapter on monday...so i will be changing it as well. Better late than never
