    Canadian user looking to participate in Beta for onelive functionality


    I called Microsoft Xbox One support to inquire about enrolling in the beta for Onelive functionality in Canada & other countries and I was told to post on the forums. The agent explained to me that as a result I will be running a different OS and may be
    unable to play with my friends. I fully understand this precaution and still desire to join.

    I have subscribed to xbox lIve with several different Gamertags dating all the way back to the Moto GP and Whacked beta test in 2002. One of the most exciting features which led me to purchase the Xbox One on top of the AAA software is it's TV functionality.
    I have been anxiously awaiting these features. Please consider me for the beta.

    Why is no one responding to issues on the beta forums

    A huge part of beta programs are beta participants and their feedback. The beta forums and beta website for Xbox betas have places to provide feedback and make it better. You can't expect a complete fully functional program during a beta. That's the whole
    point of a beta, to test out glitches and bugs and fix them before the official release. If you provide feedback in the proper channels, it will be addressed.

    New Beta Program - can't make a purchase

    Because you put your profile onto your friend's console while he was participating in the beta, your profile got the "beta treatment" to work on his console correctly. But, because you are not in the beta, these changes do not function on your console. You
    are stuck in a "beta limbo" and cannot have your account changed back, not can you register for or become part of the beta any more. Your only options are to simply wait until the dashboard beta has completed, or to make your purchases via a beta participant's
    console (such as your friend's) until the beta is completed. You will be unable to make purchases from a non-beta console or from the website until then. Sorry.

    Sorry to hear you're having issues purchasing.

    We're not showing you as having a console registered in the Beta.

    Did you perhaps download your profile onto a console that is in the beta or register with a different Gamertag?
