Can your Xbox Gold Membership expiring cause your purchased DLCs to malfunction?

My xbox gold membership expired around the same time I reinstalled a game disc and a dlc download I previously purchased and my system is shutting off now and I cant seem to get it fixed...Ive only managed to make things worse. Its not overheating and
Im certain it has something to do with the software, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I wish I could but I read somewhere that I could completely remove the DLC by going under manage settings of the game and then clearing the reserved space for the game and after I done that....now I cant even get it to stay on long enough to power up completely...I
think Ive made the problem 100 times worse.

Thanks for your reply! I dont think its the power cord because it only cuts off when a game is attempted to be played....If its just left on the home screen it doesnt shut off. I think If it was the cord, it should be shutting off regardless of what action
was being attempted...

and I just purchased a 3 month gold membership card and cant even activate it because I cant get the system to stay on now since Ive messed with deleting reserved space.....It really screwed things up when I done that
