    I have recently found out that you can buy and send gift cards by email using mircrosoft. I was wondering if I could use the funds on my old account to buy and send a gift card to my new account. To be more specific... I have 25 dollars on an xbox account
    that I do not use anymore. I have an account that I do use. I want to get the 25 dollars from the account I do not use onto the one that I do use. I want to do this by buying a gift card, with the funds on the account I do not use, and send it to the account
    that I do use. Will this work or not, I do not want to spend any extra money.

    Activated x2 10 euro Gift Cards and got 0 euros

    Did you buy the correct regional giftcards?

    All giftcards are region locked

    Meaning you cannot buy uk or french giftcards and use them in a german account for example

    So if you buy uk points it can only be redeemed on an uk account

    You can check your balance at commerce.microsoft.com

    Keep in mind currency does not transfer between regions

    Unfortunately not. I've had this same problem myself. Your account balance can only be used to buy Apps, Games, Music as well as Digital DLC for Games and Apps.

    Cannot add funds to a family member account

    Oh i thought you meant rewards points as funds because you said family account. The connection is that in a family account, points are transferrable within family hence "funds". If you're trying to add funds, easiest way to buy giftcard and gift it to them ao they can add it to their account. Otherwise if its just a bank to bank transfer, then you'd have to contact the bank obviously.

    You can turn that 10 euro Xbox giftcard into about 4-5 euro you will never be able to sell it for straight cash

    There are tons of giftcard selling or trading websites you will have to find one based on your region

    There is no 1to 1 trades

    It's usually the website buys cards at a discount or another user

    And the you buy another card if there is one

    Selling giftcards never work in your favor

    Just use it

    And no there is no refunds on giftcard nor will a company ever exchange for a giftcard for another company

    Especially with steams rates

    Well no as giftcards can't be refunded

    This is on the card itself

    You can cancel a purchase using a giftcards but giftcards fall under your retailer and no retailer in the world will take a gift card back your only option would be to sell the card at a discount online if unused

    If used and put onto your account then it's stays there

    You can refund purchases using the giftcards but as mentioned ir only goes to the original payment method

    .and since gift cards arent refundable they stay on your account
