Can you use x box game bar to screen capture?

Like just normally capture the screen, because every time you switch windows it just stops the capture which is annoying

If not what do people recommend for screen capture?

edit let me clarify can you use it for general screen capture and not just games? It's super annoying because sometimes I can get it to work but sometimes it just refuses to work also it suddenly stops if you minimize the app

my point was since xbox game bar is capable of screen capture can I just have it capture my screen i.e. just as a screen capture to show for instance where saves and files are or just screen capture on windows explorer to show where to move files...
etc not just for games

if your using nvidia then use shadow play, customise the triggers, you can setup hotkeys for record that, continuous record and broadcasting. athere are a lot of games that hate and dont interact nicely with gamebar.

you can use the command for that option, the command is Win Key+Alt+PrntScrn, use it while you are in the game

Yes, the default key shortcut is Win Key+Alt+PrntScrn. You can open the Game Bar app and click on the gear icon and check your hot key settings to be sure what captures are set to.

the xbox game bar only can mae screenshots of the programn your using so the bottom pat of the screen will not be captured at all
