    So...can you really not buy Xbox Live with Microsoft points?!

    There would probably be a lot of people renewing their Xbox Live for free if you could use your rewards points to renew it. I bet Microsoft prefers to get actual money instead. I also recently found out you can't buy hardware from the Microsoft Store with your points, it's really limited.

    can you use Microsoft money to renew Xbox Live Gold Membership?

    I have Microsoft money/credits and want to renew my Xbox Live Gold Membership. Can you use that money/credit to renew the Gold Membership? I have not found a way, unless I am looking in the wrong place. Any idea or anyone that knows how to do this?

    No. Gold can only be purchased via credit card/Paypal or by purchasing a prepaid gold card from a store.
