Can you use an xbox gamepass trail if you're subscription is past due?

No. Prepaid cards can't be used at all until your balance is paid off and game pass trials will only work on accounts that have never had game pass.

The suspension would last until you pay off the balance I believe.

The 14 day trail would renew and be taken from the card on file. You can check and cancel anytime account.microsoft.com/services

When that renews if the payment fails for what ever reason that then becomes a past due sub in this case gamepass. Unforutally past dues can't be cleared using a prepaid 5x5 code. You would need too clear using a card then you can redeem the code

If your account is showing past due on the GamePass ultimate subscription you will need to clear that up before you can do anything.
