Can you transfer a gamertag to a different account?

Hi,

I'd like to know if it is possible to move a gamertag from one Microsoft account to another.

My old gamertag is from when I was a kid and I didn't have access to it for years because it was under my father's account. So I had been using a new gamertag under my own Microsoft account the last 10 years or so. I now have access to my father's account
and the old gamertag, however, much of my Microsoft integration and my gamepass subscription are on my new account. Ideally, I'd like to be able to remove the gamertag currently on *my* account and transfer the gamertag and all its achievements/gamerscore
from my father's account.

Father's Account - Gamertag A -> Removed

My Account - Gamertag B -> Gamertag A

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. I'm sorry to inform you the option to transfer saved data, achievements and any/or game purchases from another Microsoft Account will not be possible. We currently do not have an available feature. The one
step we have available is changing the primary email on the Microsoft account.
You can however set up home consoleon your main profile.
Note:If you choose to remove an alias that uses a Microsoft domain such as @hotmail.com, @outlook.com, or @live.com, that alias will be completely deleted and will not be available to sign in to any Microsoft
services. A microsoft and Xbox account are one and the same. As there is nothing more I will be locking this thread.

You need to download both accounts to your Xbox 360 console and wait for 30 days before you can process the transfer of gamertag to different Microsoft email address.

After 30 days, you can already transfer your gamertag to different Microsoft email address.

only way to transfer a gamertag to a new account is on the xbox 360. instructions can be found here

support-origin.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account in order to do this you need a fresh msa with no gamertag associated and you have to be able to sign into the gamertag you want to transfer on the xbox 360.
