Can you track a stolen Xbox

my brothers Xbox one was stolen a few months ago and he got an email saying he completely finished a game that he had download on that Xbox so whoever stole it has been playing it and we don't know what information they have from that Xbox and I want to
know if it is possible to track that Xbox before anything is stolen

You can't track a stolen console like you can track a stolen cell phone. Sorry

No we tried to have police try to find it to but it's kinda hard when they don't turn the console on until just barely

As far as I know its not something that the general public can do, Microsoft may be able to help, but I would imagine that would be something the police would have to do.

No we tried to have police try to find it to but it's kinda hard when they don't turn the console on until just barely

There currently isn't any way to track a stolen Xbox unless some one signs in with it and you can get the police to track the ip address they sign in with. Even then I'm not sure they can track it.
