I dont know exactly what you mean but all microsoft gift cards can be used on an xbox or pc.

For example: you can use a microsoft store gift card to buy an xbox game and vice versa.

Was this a Store or an Xbox gift card. Certain gift cards cannot be used in certain stores. Can you check the type of gift card it is please.

Unfortunately there is no way to transfer a gift card to another account once you have redeemed it.

Was it a suscription or game gift card?

Because if it was you can still share it through the home xbox feature
