    So my son has signed in with my account. Can i set limits on a parent account?

    Or maybe change my parent account to a kids account somehow so I can set some limits

    No you cannot set limits on a parent account as it is an adult account. you cannot change an adult account to a child account either. Any limit you set will have to be a physical limit you cannot use anything software wise since they are an adult.

    Always recommend starting a child off as a child account.

    You can not limit the base "parent" account. Only children. The xbox is on the parent account. So, it can't be limited unless you loose a lot of game profile data.

    Hi, I think that your account is a "child account" with some limitation set by your parents (or another adult account)

    You can verify here how to manage (or let you parents manage) and change the settings of your account https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/family-online-safety/browse

    Probably there is a limitation related to some xbox live contents and you will need the adult account to give permission to your account in order to use them

    what type of account do you have ? parent account or child account . perhaps there's parental settings turned on and it's limited to 3 hours.
