    is there anyway to send Xbox gift cards from UK to be used in South Africa without it being region blocked.

    Hi there. Will an xbox one purchased in the uk work in south africa - the xbox one is only expected to be launched in south africa sometime in 2014.

    Xbox Live for Xbox One in South Africa

    I Recently bought the Xbox One in the UK, and I used to have an Xbox Live Gold account there, with my 360 and with my One. The membership expired and I now want to play online in South Africa (I moved). Could I still purchase a 12 month Xbox Live Gold
    account from the UK store and then play online in South Africa ie. pretend I still live in the UK. Will it work? Thanks

    You would have to buy codes made for South Africa through another retailer.

    yes he is in Canada and I am in South Africa
    That would be your issue. Codes from gifting are region locked. so your friend would have to also be in South Africa in order for it to work. You can try contacting support for a refund. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us
