Can you save new save data from Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One hard drive?

I want to start some new Xbox 360 games on my Xbox One and was wondering if I can make local game saves on the hard drive of my Xbox One? If so, how do I do this? When I look at storage options in the Mass Effect game I'm playing, it only shows cloud storage.
Please let me know.

Gears Of War 3 Everything Reset

Did you move your save file from the Xbox 360's local hard drive to Cloud Storage? If you want to have all your progress from the 360 version you have to move the save file to Cloud Storage so that the Xbox One version can sync with that data.

Probably you can delete the current save data you have on you Xbox One, then, go to your 360 and move your original save data to Cloud Storage and finally start Gears of War 3 on your Xbox One again, you should see a message and a progress bar saying "Syncing
Cloud Storage" or something like that.

Reset xbox 360 cloud save data for a single game

I have deleted an xbox 360 save data from the cloud and I have cleared my local xbox 360 save data on my xbox one, but when I load a 360 game it still loads all my old data. How can I fully reset the data for a single xbox 360 game?

Having gone over this with support, I am pretty sure you will NOT be able to do this. Maybe only on the cloud as long as the games are on the backward compatibility list

That's too bad if that's true. It seems like you should be able to make new save games at least even if you don't have xbox live gold. Is that something that will be added in the future?

I tried making a new save offline and found out that you can save games and have it stored on your hard drive. It doesn't require Xbox Live Gold to make new saves. That's a big relief. Xbox One backwards compatibility is awesome!

If its for the 360. You can buy a transfer kit, you just need another hard drive.

Otherwise, if its for the ONE, buy a ext. hard drive, move all data from one to the other (if accessible).

If not, I would take your xbox to be repaired or send it to xbox, and there may be a chance that they can recover or save the information onto a new drive for you.

As of now i am locked out on both systems. I cant move the data or delete it from the 360 it says "items on another xbox are waiting to be uploaded" Then i go to the xbox one and try to run the game and it says the same error. I have gone back and forth
a few times. I also started a new game on the 360 and saved it on the hard drive. I then moved this data to the cloud, overriding the cloud saved data, and then went back to the xbox one again and got the same error. Also because you cant delete the cloud
saved data i cant start a new game on the xbox one or select a save device without getting that error.

The Transfer cable is designed solely to move data from one hard drive to another. It is not designed to extract certain saved game files in order to play them.

If you want to play a saved game from that hard drive, simply install the hard drive onto your Xbox.

<edit> I just realized you that you are asking about an original Xbox game. The transfer cable will only work between Xbox 360 hard drives. They will not work with original Xbox hard drives.

WoT support was more than likely referencing how saved data works on the Xbox One as your saved data is tied to your account and will allow you to play your saved data anywhere as long as you have your account on that Xbox One because the saved data is automatically
saved to the cloud and sync's that data whenever it's needed. On the Xbox 360, if you don't have Cloud storage turned on and backed up then the saved data is specific to the hard drive its saved to. You would need to switch over the hard drives between the
Xbox 360's to play saved data on another Xbox 360.

As far as this issue goes, I will ask someone if they can look into it or at least make them aware WoT on the Xbox 360 is causing errors and sign out issues because of an update. Just to clarify is it only WoT causing this to happen?

You can always use the transfer cable to move your data from the old hard drive to your new one. This would also save your saved games. If that is not an option you may need to use the license transfer on the xbox website.
