    Can you replace online game save data?


    Is it possible to delete Xbox Live game save data and replace it with local save data? My first experience with grouping up with a stranger in Diablo 3 was with a cheater that used some exploit that shot my Paragon level up by more than 300. I force quit
    the game but the levels stuck on that Xbox. I took my downstairs Xbox offline and started the game up and it was fine, but it doesnt seem to want to save it to Live. I reconnected the downstairs to my network and quit/saved and started again and it was the
    good version. I went upstairs and deleted the local game save data and started up expecting the best, but when it synched up, it was the level 300+ version.

    Is there anything I can do? I don't want to lose the good save file.

    You can't change the cloud data or erase it unfortunately. I would be careful with the playing with a "cheater" part, that could result in an enforcement action as well .

    Hello Angel,

    Unfortunately, there is no trick to get this to happen. It usually does this when there is a corrupt file in the local save. As mentioned above beware of playing with people that d this or using known glitches as it is against Code of conduct. You can try
    to get with Blizzard see if they can remove the extra for you. May be a reset to 0 though :/. I will lock this thread also as there is nothing more that can be done on the forums.

    I know that some times, when your online save data conflicts with the local save file, the game asks which you want to use...I'm wondering if there are any tricks to making that happen.

    Also, after reading up on the issue, I'm pretty annoyed that Blizzard hasn't patched this issue. From what I read, this has been an issue for quite a while and is patched pretty quickly on PC version. The only way I see to protect myself from getting banned,
    etc., is to not join up with strangers, which kills some of the joy of online gameplay.
