Can you repair/clean a Xbox series x disc drive?

My Xbox series x will no longer install disks ,or read some disks. I was able to get one game to install, and load, but that’s it. Is there any way for me to fix this? I no longer have a warranty on the console.

Not only that, but I would like to let you know that you can get your console repaired by Microsoft or a participant Best Buy center (US only) even if your console is out of warranty.

You could try getting your Xbox service with a third party technician if you like, just make sure it's a reputable site.

I understand. I was already aware of this link, as I have already looked into it. I was just trying to see if there was another option, as I don’t have the $300 lying around to have it shipped and repaired.

You have names mixed up. There are no consoles named the Xbox One Series S or Xbox One Series X.

The Xbox One/One S/One X all have a disc drive.

The Xbox One S All Digital Edition does not have a disc drive.

The Xbox Series X has a disc drive.

The Xbox Series S does not have a disc drive.

All the consoles can play backward compatible games. The Series S and One S all digital edition can only play games digitally downloaded.

The other consoles can play games from disc and from digitally downloaded,
