    Can you record Party Chat while capturing gameplay? I would love this feature.


    I often find myself quickly capturing highlights in games with friend that were funny, bizarre, epic moments that I want to share and remember. However often I find without the Party Chat, jokes, laughter or squeals of terror it's not the same.

    It would be great if we could also record the Party Chat along with game audio. I've looked in the setting on my XSX and can't see anything I'm missing, seems like it's not possible.

    Or is it a case of "use the in game chat", if there is one, and that will be recorded along with the game audio.

    Game chat audio not included in recordings

    Xbox clips don't record voice/game chat currently. You can record the voice on a different device and then add it to your gameplay, or stream the content trough twitch. You can also use a capture card.

    But if you don't have any equipment, only the Xbox recording feature will not record the game chat/party voice.

    To record your party chat, you would need a PC with capture software, and a capture card.

    As far as I know, you would need a different method to record gameplay with Mic audio with the native capture tools, but built in they only record the game visuals and audio. You can stream and include party chat as the output, and then later pull the
    files from there (depending on the platform and settings), but that's not also a reliable method, as sometimes those stream videos might not be available due to bugs or glitches. Reliably, you'd need to use a capture card, or recording via a PC and external
    software, or setting up Windows 10 capture and streaming via the Xbox App.
