    Hello, I’ve just received my xbox controller adapter for windows 10 (the little usb dongle) and I was wondering if I could plug it in my pc the whole time(24/7) even when I turn my pc off? Will this harm my hardware or my accessory if I plug it in for months in my pc without removing it from time to time?

    It's just like any other USB device plugged into a PC you can keep it plugged in indefinitely, no harm will come to it.

    yes you can do that, i have mine plugged in all the time, it won't do any harm what so ever.

    Hi HanzCo!

    The USB dongle works much like the dongle for a wireless keyboard or mouse, so yes, it's designed to be always plugged in.

    If you're worried about electricity consumption, if you're going to leave your PC turned off for prolonged periods of time, make sure to unplug it from the mains.

    But other than that you should be fine.
