    I haven't faced that issue Atlxntaa.

    Did you do any change to your computer lately? Software related I mean.

    If not, you can try to uninstall the Wireless Adapter Drivers, unplug the device, and connect it again to see if Windows solves the issue by itself.

    Steps :

    With the USB installed :

    Right click on windows icon in the leftmost bottom of the task bar, select "Device Manager"

    Go to Network Adaptors

    Right click on "Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows" -> Uninstall Device

    When it is not appearing on the list, disconnect the Adapter from your USB port

    Connect again the adapter

    Tell us how it went after following the steps please.

    Wireless adapter

    You must get the
    adapter specifically made     for Xbox 360 controllers.

    The Xbox Wireless Adapter you've bought is not backward compatible with 360 controllers.

    Here is one on Amazon, for example (they don't sell it on the Microsoft store anymore).

    Can I use my old Xbox 360 adapter with the new XboxOne controller?
