Can you play downloaded content you purchased from one account on to another if you downloaded ...

On my main account I always buy downloadable content if I want it to and I was wondering if it was possible to play the downloadable content on a different account without having to buy it again. I recently purchased a couple of DLC's for Mass Effect 3
and I did it on this main account. I also have another account that I want to play the same downloaded content on but according to the "available content" on the main screen for Mass Effect 3 none of the things I purchased has been downloaded. Yet when I
go to my main account it says the DLC I purchased is checked in as downloaded. Does this mean I have to repurchase every DLC for my other account even though I already bought the same DLC's on the same x box just on my main account?

License transfer

Licence transfer can not move content from one account to another. Once content is purchased on an account, it will always belong to that account. A licence transfer works is used when you want to move all of your downloaded

There is a way that you are able to access any of your brother's downloaded content, which isn't against the rules, or considered "Marketplace theft". Simply sign your own account into the same console as his. Downloaded content
comes with two content licences. One for the account (in this case, your brother's account), and one for the console it was originally purchased for.

• The "account" licence means that your brother can sign onto any Xbox console he wants to, then play his downloaded content from there. The catch here is that your brothers account must be signed in before any other account can
  access his DLC.
• The "console" license means that any account that is on the console where the DLC was purchased can access that DLC from that console any time you want. The catch here is that if your account didn't purchase it, then you won't
  have access to it on other consoles.

If you and your brother use the same console, you can already use your brother's DLC. If you use different consoles, you will need to buy the DLC yourself.

 

Can I transfer all my game saves/data off one account to another?

All content is only licensed to the account that first purchased it and the console it was first downloaded to. This means that so long as you are playing on the console that the content was originally downloaded to with another gamertag you will be able
to access it.

You will not, however, be able to redownload content purchased from a different account.

 

When you purchase content it is tied to the gamertag it was purchased on as well as the console it was purchased on. The console license allows other profiles on the same console to have access to the content. In some cases there is content that cannot be
accessed this way. So that could be a possibility.

If you've ever switched consoles since you first purchased the content, you would need to do a license transfer to move the console license to the console you are using and then you may be able to use it on your second account.

 

After contacting xbox live I was able to figure out the solution to the problem. Basically I just had to download my main profile and it allowed me to play dlc on my other account. Thanks for answering though.
