    Can you keep digital games in their day 1 update and play them so long as you don't update...


    Would there be any way to download a digital game before a relevant update and continue to play in the nonupdated version so long as the user plays offline and does not update? For example lets say you download a digital game that include a scene that
    is later censored in an update. If you did not apply the update to the old version of your digital copy would you still be able to play the censored scene?

    but first you have to download the game, if an update has already been released then when you download the game it will have that already applied, if you download the game when it first comes out then keep the console from updating then yes, but if the
    game is deleted and then downloaded again all the latest updates will already be applied.

    unlikely for the digital versions as they replace the main download with the updated versions.

    Yes but assuming you continue to play offline and the game is unable to update.

    Seems they either 1)Keep forgetting to update the codecs when they patch or 2) Don't update the media players as well.

    Can play a movie one day but not the next.

    Also, don't forget about the fact that the Xbox 360 doesn't need any " Day One " patch updates so that you can play them properly long after the Xbox 360 servers go down :)
