Can you get a refund?

I've never had this issue before so I don't know if it's possible. But this game has been so bad for me I would like to return it. Sadly I bought the digital version and I don't know if it's possible.

For those wondering, here is a small sample of why I think the game is unplayable. The game has these drift area's You need to drift and get a certain amount of points before getting to the end. I'll admit up front a large part of this is just my lacking
the skill. But to make matters worse the game keeps spawning traffic in the area. It's hard enough to keep the score going without getting ran into.

So I give up on the drift. There is also a challenge event. You are supposed to destroy stuff and get a large combo. I messed up at first so I selected restart. When you restart, the game does not restore the stuff you just destroyed. So effectively,
each time you try and fail, you then have that much less the next time around. I don't know if leaving the area and returning would fix it but that's not the point.

Finally, I then tried to do a ramp jump. The only way to get the distance it requires is to use an S class car or better from what I could tell. The hilarious part is when you finally get the speed you need, hitting the ramp causes your car to flip uncontrollably.
This causes you to land on your roof or side and "Fail" the challenge. Using the rewind ability I hit the ramp well over 100 times from every angle possible and it never let you just jump, it always flips you.

The game also has you recruit "drivatars" for your team. But it basically forces you to recruit players on your friends list. The higher level you friends are the better they are for you. Well it keeps picking people that don't play the game, so they
are all level 1. I see other drivatars of level 40+ all the time but for some reason it only picks level 1s.

These are just a few of many examples. It has played so poorly I encourage everyone to be cautious before buying.

how do you find out what level they are? it dont say above their heads. I'm level 43 keep getting matched with lvl 20's n 30's.

Anecdotally, I have heard of people contacting Xbox Support and getting a one-time refund. So if you've never asked before, it's probably worth a chat/call to see if they will do it. Be polite for best results.

 

I hear ya, there are some things that could be improved like the challenge that's doesn't respawn all objects. I'm also getting lots of level 1, but there are better drivatar l as you level up. I also think that the map isn't that huge and that there could
have been a "playground spot" like the dock in FH2.

But imo I think this game isn't arcade enough for you. The drift zone require skills to drift (obviously), but also control of your car (not as much as the Motorsports series but still). You'll learn to wave through incoming cars while drifting.

For the ramps jump, many can be done with sports cars. But some ramps require that you use rally suspension, or that you tune your existing spring setup. It is obvious that doing a ramp jump in the outback with your lowered car that has 0 ground clearance
will make you lose control mid-air.

Thst being said, this game is meant to be an arcade version of GM series, and imo less arcadyish than games like NFS, the crew, etc.

For your refund, what said murph is real. Explain them and you may get a refund without problem
