Can you extent Xbox one hard drive?

Hi is there any possible way I can extent my storage on my Xbox one console?

Question about xbox360 Arcade

For the most part you can download games to the usb drive. A few exceptions include the fact that xbox original games cannot be played unless you have an official xbox hard drive and some newer games will not function to their full extent without the official
drive.

Be aware that if you purchase Minecraft you will not be able to play local multiplayer unless you have an hdmi hook up for your tv.

To add to Smwutches comment, the requirements for any external drive you want to use with an Xbox One can be found

here.

Be sure it:

uses a USB 3.0 connection. If you’re using a USB hub, the hub must also be USB 3.0 or later.

has 256 GB or larger storage capacity.

has a partition. Typically, drives come with a preformatted partition. For more information about partitioning an external hard drive, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions.

you can take the hard drive from one console to another no problem.

There is only restriction to this... the only way you can use the hard drive from the old style XBOX 360 on the new "SLIM" 360 is the following:

Using a USB transfer kit, you can plug the old style xbox hard drive into the new SLIM XBOX. You can then transfer stuff to the new XBOX. Note that in this setup, you can't use the old style hard drive for anything other than transferring stuff over.

If both XBOX 360 are the old style, there is no problem, just pop the hard drive off one 360 and plug it into the other one.

Note that disassembling the hard drive unit (to take the bare drive out) is not supported, and is a terms of use violation.

External hard drives aren't massive or anything to the extent you need to clear space for it. If anything, you can fit the majority of external drives on top of the actual system itself, without blocking the vents. Alternatively, you can fit it on top
of your other devices, or even under.
