Can you explain?

Can anyone explain? Give me a valid reason to justify why players camp?!?

I rarely ever play multiplayer and its quite simply because of campers.

I don't see the point in it. Why do people camp? What do you gain out of it?

Is there really any skill involved in camping ?!?

What about when 2 or more people are camping together?!?

Can anyone justify this behavior?

I didn't get a permanent console ban only a temporary. It makes it so i can't communicate till the date that was listed in the post.

Everyone has a different style of playing the game and if camping is allowed under the rules, then it is a justifiable method of playing the game. Some agree with it, some disagree it. It's all a matter of personal opinion.

 

it's because of the mlg pro gamer mentality of "i have to have the best score in the game or it doesn't matter". camping allows you to set up a defensible position to gather the most kills with little risk of dying and dropping the all important k/d score.
it's the same reason people will drop out of games if they die or their team starts to lose.

 

Makes me laugh when people complain about another persons style of play.

More often than not they are only complaining because that person is winning, and they are not.

Imagine yourself as a real life solider, would running around an area head first be the best tactic to stay alive?

Or would finding one defensible position to fight from be better, maybe even with another solider watching your back?

Camping is the most realistic part of the game.

 

I am a happy camper. I am older, slow, and need every trick in the book to keep my k/d above .5.

Camping is just another way to have fun in a game. It can be fun every once in awhile, especially if you have a good spot where you can see a lot of the map. Get a mid-long range semi-auto gun with a good scope, and see how long you can last. You dont always
have to play offense in an fps game, sometimes defense can be just as fun.

 

When camping I like smores...nothing beats roasting marshmellows over a camp fire....mmmmmmm!

Yeah a lot of people camp. The key is to not blindly run around corners screaming. Or just stay away from that area... They're camping... They can't get you if you don't go to them. And they're honestly not all that hard to get once you know where they are.

I honestly don't care if I win or lose, I just play for fun, just curious about why some reasons are people camp.

Most of the times people are camping on maps I don't know, so trying to avoid them is very hard when I don't know the map. Trying to explore around the map and get use to it and keep getting sniped by campers in places I have never seen yet.

As for realism well I don't play games to be realistic. I play games to shoot things and have fun. As it's EXTREMELY illegal to do this in real life. But I can understand those that play for realism, a good point as it's illegal to shoot someone in real
life. So why not experience it in a game.

And most of the time I only " run and gun " as I don't know the maps yet, and I'm trying to explore around the maps. I rarely play Multiplayer as it's not an aspect of gaming that appeals to me. Mainly because I'm not very good and have poor eye sight on
games. But it's fun to every now an then play and have some fun.

I'm more of an Extinction / Co - Op player working together with a team, supporting team mates.

 

Essentially, you disagree with someone else's play style. Which is fine and all, but since you're not the gameplay police... Live and let live? I mean, I don't see any campers going:

Ill camp, get a kill then move to a new spot immediately, as in the real world, running and gunning does not = respawn.

 

Camping is fun as long as the weather is nice. Here up on the mountain in Colorado it takes a bit longer before one can camp without becoming a popsicle in the early morning. Like here it is April 15th and it's snowing. yay.
