Can you convince me to invest in an Xbox One?

Hi everyone! I have been really looking into buying an Xbox console for awhile now. I was debating between the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One, but after getting a gaming PC and having an Xbox 360 controller for it I know I want an Xbox One with a decent working
d-pad! I have never owned an Xbox console. This will be my first Xbox console. To be honest, I have only been on PlayStation. I have owned every single PlayStation console since the PlayStation 2, and as much as I love PlayStation consoles, I would really
like to try out an Xbox. There are a few exclusive titles I want to play on the Xbox, such as Sunset Overdrive and Rise of the Tomb Raider. I know Rise of the Tomb raider will come to PS4 in a year, but I honestly don't want to wait and already want an Xbox
    One.

I found a good deal on an Xbox One, but I guess I just need some further convincing from people. It comes with a Kinect, controllers, and games so I would be set from the beginning for a variety of games. I probably wouldn't be able to get Live right away,
so that is a downfall for me. I wouldn't have enough money for it right away. I just need to know what you guys think of your Xbox One. What are some pros and cons of it? What are your likes and dislikes? What features do you enjoy the most and which do you
dislike the most? Can you tell me about the updates and what new features there are and also how useful they actually are?

I have read up on the Xbox One, and I get the same stuff every time. I would like some input from actual, real-life users on what their experience has been with their Xbox One.

Also, if you own a PS4 or PS3 console feel free to add me. My gamertag is the same as my PSN account.

    :)

I started to invest some time in it, I advanced some missions but I did not feel captivated by the game ... But I will follow the tips and give him more time to convince me to continue.

Can you convince me to invest in an Xbox One?

Why would I want to convince you to buy a X Box One? Bought the PS4 and X1 because there were games that I wanted to play on both systems, and the cost versus value on doing so, meet my wants/needs.

One of my close friends bought a PS4 last week because he wanted to play Dragon Quest:Heroes.

If you can afford one and there are games you want to play...buy it. If not...don't. Simple really.

And yes, I am kind of a jerk. Lol.

    Peace, J.R.

  6. IMO, you should go big or go home - in other words, get the XB1. It'll have a lot of backwards compatible games from the 360 that you can still play; over 100+ by year's end from what I hear, so that alone is a good deal. Can you convince me to invest in an Xbox One? ;)

I am thinking about just going for it. I love the idea of backwards compatibility and being able to stream the Xbox to my Windows 10 PC. I don't always have the TV available so it would be nice to have!

Why would you care about Backwards Compatibility.

It's just a bunch of crappy XBox LIVE Arcade titles.

If you want to enjoy great games you get the ONE.

Nobody who can afford new games is going to be interested in Backwards Compatibility except for the odd single title that was their 'fave' back in the day.

Even then they'll get that, play it for 10 minutes and remark, 'Wow, the XBox ONE graphics sure look a lot better than this...' and go back to playing current gent titles.

I like the Kinect, favorite feature is the IR blaster, so my receiver and TV are turned on and off by the Xbox, other than that, the game support is lacking.

Another pro is that the X1 is lagging in sales, which means Xbox is trying harder and listening to gamers.

Other than that, the games, Sunset Overdrive is fun, Dead Rising 3 is excellent, Titanfall, Halo, Gears of War, Quantum Break looks amazing, there is a lot to be excited about.

  11. If you have even a low end gaming rig, why would you desire a console?

With a gaming rig you can upgrade the hardware etc anytime you want, and you wouldn't have to put up with a lot of the headaches that comes with console gaming such as paying for Xbox Live just to be rerouted to an EA, Activision etc server in order to
    play MP Online.

But hey, to each their own.

No, it isn't. You seriously consider Mass Effect, Gears of War, Mirror's Edge, and Assassin's Creed 2 (among others) as crappy XBLA titles? 'Cause they're not...

...and while I admit that there are a lot of XBLA titles on the list, that's to be expected. In addition, MS have already stated that they will be adding a LOT more down the road, so don't give up on it just yet.

Also not true. Many people might go back to buy games they didn't back on the 360 or if they never owned a 360 to begin with. Furthermore, some people may go back to get the complete story if they came in at a later game. For example, they may have played
Perfect Dark Zero but not the original Perfect Dark that started that franchise. Now they can. Maybe some people have a soft-spot for the classics, like Pac-Man or Doom and would like to play those.

No offense, Azrael, but your post makes a lot of assumptions that are wrong and rather short-sighted.

  13. Can you convince me to invest in an Xbox One?

It's so sad to think that some people only play video games for the future, consumerism at it saddest, it's like an iPhone 6 owner slamming an iPhone 5 owner for having an old phone without realizing that nexus owners where doing what iphone 6 owners where
doing back in 2012. I'm assuming you're a gamer OP, I would be getting both the PS4 and XB1 with no arguments if you like Western and Eastern gaming. Xb's BC is quite good and I've heard playstation now is going to be free. One thing I wouldn't consider is
comparing both consoles graphics or capabilities.

If you wanna play some great Xbox One exclusives, go for it, it's definitely worth the $350 for the 500GB version or $400 for the 1TB version. That's all I have to say, happy gaming.

I have a PS4, Wii U, and Xbox one. Not to mention each console from the last gen. My Xbox One gets the least use by a long shot.
