Can you connect the One controller wirelessly to your PC using the old 360 adapter?

I currently have a 360 controller and adapter for my pc and am considering upgrading to a One controller but I don't want to waste more money if I am forced to buy the One adapter as well and might as well just stick to my 360 controller until they phase
the support out in the newer pc games.

SO can you connect a One controller to the PC via the 360 adapter?

Question about Xbox One Joystick

yes you connect Xbox one controller to a Pc, wirelessly or cable, but to play xbox games on ur PC you need to connect controller via micro usb cable.

IF you can connect your 360 wirelessly then you can your Xbox One. As far as your TV digital that doesn't mean its an HDTV. How is your Xbox 360 connected to your old TV, if your using red white and yellow cables that means its SD. What make and model
is your TV?

 

I don't think so. If it did, I don't think they would have released a new one, which connects your Xbox One wireless controller to a PC running Windows.

 

No, if you could connect the Xbox One controller to the PC using that adapter, you'd also be able to use the Xbox One controller on the 360 and vise versa; which we know you cannot do.
