can you connect a Xbox 360 controller to a chromebook

Since your controller doesn't have Bluetooth capability, we have two options to connect it to your computer. It's either using a USB cable or wireless adapter for Xbox wireless controller.

Our best option here is to try another USB cable that supports high quality data transfer or connection for both devices being connected.

For wireless adapter, since you got a Chromebook, you will have to find any compatible adapter for Xbox controller on your Chromebook.

And, the controller is connected wired or via bluetooth?

- What model of Xbox controller are you using? Is it a wired or wireless controller?

- How are you connecting the controller to your Chromebook? Are you using a USB cable, a Bluetooth connection, or an Xbox wireless adapter?

- Have you tried using a different controller, cable, or connection method to see if the problem persists?

- Have you updated the firmware of your controller to the latest version?

- Have you checked the settings of your Chrome browser to make sure that it allows access to gamepads? (you can refer to device support for the settings)

Here are things that we can check:

- Make sure your controller is fully charged and updated to the latest firmware version.

- Restart your Chromebook and reconnect your controller via Bluetooth or USB cable.

- Clear your browser cache and cookies, and make sure you are using the latest version of Chrome.

- Go to xbox.com/play and sign in with your Microsoft account. Make sure you have an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and a stable internet connection.

- Launch any game from the cloud gaming library and see if your controller is recognized. If not, try a different game or a different controller if you have one.
