  3. Can I use an Xbox One S controller on the Xbox One?

    Yes, absolutely.

In case there's confusion, the Bluetooth part in the controller is only for connecting it to a Windows PC. Bluetooth is not used on the Xbox One S, as the console does not actually have a Bluetooth chip.

The Xbox One S controller still connects to the console with the same wireless protocol as any standard Xbox One controller.

It even works vice versa! You can also connect a regular Xbox One controller to an Xbox One S.

Can you connect a Bluetooth Headset to Xbox One S controller

It will not work for headsets.

The Bluetooth capabilities are for connecting the controller to a PC wirelessly.

I really wish you could! ...I was just sitting here wondering the same thing, it would be so great.

I just ordered an LG 4K that has Bluetooth and I will be able to use my Bluetooth earphones ...sweeeet!

The kind of functionality that you talk of will be taken advantage of in the future...maybe. If it is, you better bet that Microsucks will make it only compatible with their own Bluetooth headsets. -propitiatory predators.

You are more then welcome to spend the time, money and resources to develop your own gaming console and network. You can then give away everything that you invested in.

Because not locking out third party bluetooth devices would for sure be "giving away everything you invested in". I would like to have a better pool of options for headsets. As a general rule I can find few comfortable options that work well that I can afford.

Hence why PS4 outsells the Xbox one. That's a sorry excuse dude. As PS4 and it's predecessors have proven allowing me to use whatever Bluetooth headset will work does not effect the money that's made off the console. I can use any headset with a 3.5mm Jack
even if it's not made by Microsoft and that's ok what's the difference.

Odd. Whenever I try to hook up a Bluetooth headset on the PS4, it tells me, "Bluetooth Audio Not Supported". Two of my friends get the same message with headsets that worked on the PS3. Have they updated this in the last two weeks, since last time I tried?
Can't even use stereo earbuds (with mic) on the PS4, because the mic won't work; a few updates ago killed that.

  11. There's hasn't been a major console that turned a profit in a long time. They usually take a loss on the consoles actually, getting their profit from accessories, games and digital subscriptions. The only one I've heard of that wasn't taking a loss each
sale is the one X which is just about breaking even, still no profit. And once they lower price from launch price, they will be taking a loss.

No, you can't sync a Bluetooth headset to a PS4. I know, I've tried. The only Bluetooth headsets that will work with a PS4 are the kind that have a Bluetooth dongle.

Unable to connect Turtle Beach stealth 600 2nd gen to xbox, can anyone please help?

    Hi,

I have xbox one s and bluetooth controller. I couldn't manage to pair my bluetooth headset (sony wh-1000xm3) with bluetooth controller. (Since BT devices can not be connected with CONSOLE via bluetooth, I try to connect BT headset with CONTROLLER).

How can I pair BT headset and controller?

    Thanks for your reply.

Will PS3 Bluetooth Headset work with Xbox One?

The Xbox One console doesn't support Bluetooth. That headset won't work with the Xbox One in any way.

The new Xbox One controllers (the ones that come with the Xbox One S) have Bluetooth, but that's only used to connect the controller to a Windows 10 PC through Bluetooth.

Are xbox one controllers the same as xbox one s controllers?

You can use a regular Xbox One controller on an Xbox One S console, and you can use an Xbox One S controller on a regular Xbox One console.

All controllers connect to the Xbox console the same way, via proprietary RF.

If you are confused because of the addition of Bluetooth in the Xbox One S, just know that Bluetooth is only built into the Xbox One S controller (there is actually no bluetooth functionality in the Xbox One S console itself). The Bluetooth in the controller
is just a secondary method of wireless connectivity designed solely for connecting the controller to a Windows 10 PC via Bluetooth (without the need of a
USB adapter). It connects to the Xbox One/One S the same way as the original controllers do.

Pad XBOX ONE S Windows 10

    Hi Diabelnyy,

Unfortunately it's not possible to connect your headset via Bluetooth, unless your headset or headphones have built in Bluetooth. If the headset's are Bluetooth capable, then you would need to set them up via your PC's Bluetooth settings, but I'm not sure
if you can have multiple devices connected via Bluetooth at the same time.

You would need to directly connect the headset to your PC via the 3.5 mm audio port. Connecting into the controller will not work unless you are playing on an Xbox One console.

The Xbox wireless controller adapter for PC will not work in trying to connect a headset via Bluetooth.

Will PS3 Bluetooth Headset work with Xbox One?

"Theory of Game" is correct on the matter. Let my post add a little more clarification.

The latest Xbox One controllers (the white ones that come with the Xbox One S) have Bluetooth functionality, yes, but they still connect to the Xbox One console through the proprietary RF protocol as all Xbox One controllers do.

The Bluetooth functionality on the controller is only designed to interface with a Bluetooth-enabled Windows 10 PC, as Windows 10 already has a preinstalled driver (given by the Anniversary update). It's merely treated as a secondary feature if you happen
to have a gaming PC with Bluetooth, likely implemented in the first place to coincide with the "Play Anywhere" feature they recently released for certain Xbox One games.

Even as of now, there is no Bluetooth functionality whatsoever on the new Xbox One S console. Spec sheets and online disassemblies of the Xbox One S do not show a bluetooth chipset within. There are also no onscreen settings to connect a Bluetooth headset
to the controller. Any Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth device you may have is currently
    incompatible with the Xbox One.

    Hope this helps!
